BUITEN SINGEL:
BRING YOUR
DOG TO WORK

Buiten Singel: the hidden gem on the edge of Amsterdam’s city centre. Once, a century ago, the Amstel Brewery’s horses were stabled here, in the verdant surroundings of the Oosterpark. Now, this building is being converted into high-end commercial property: a creative space in hip and happening Amsterdam East, where new trendy coffee shops open just about every week.

HIST
-ORY

In the past, Mauritskade was colloquially known as Buiten Singel, being the outermost of Amsterdam’s famous ring of canals. The building now being developed was originally designed in 1912/1913 by A. Salm GBzn. Situated at Mauritskade 55 G-H, it used to be the stable for the Amstel Brewery’s horses. Besides stalls, the building also had a hayloft, an oat bin, a depot for old wagons and a grooms’ accommodation at the top.

THE OUTERMOST CANAL IN AMSTERDAM

Buiten Singel is situated at Mauritskade 55, by the entrance to the Oosterpark. The nearest tram stop (K. ’s-Gravesandestraat) is just a short 350-metre walk away, and there is a public parking area right in front of the building. The A10 highway is within close reach via Middenweg.

Buitensingel is surrounded by inspiring neighbours. To name just a few, the Van Moof company is right next door, and Hotel Arena and the Tropenmuseum are just around the corner.

Buiten Singel is close to the many hotels, restaurants and bars in the area. And it is perfectly situated to enjoy the plentiful green space that Amsterdam has to offer.
Buiten Singel: its name says it all. Outside, with green all around.
